What does it take to get the Martin Labor Government and the CLP Opposition to recommit to the NT as 'the Gateway to Asia'? Murphy's column 19th August was an excellent summary of the pathetically inept train wreck that IS the Martin Labor Government. They have hired at least 2,500 extra public servants since coming to power. At a "conservative" EXTRA ANNUAL cost of around $250 Million, this should be seen by all thinking Territorians as scandal of Whitlamesque proportions. The Martin Labor Government's atrocious record of excessive regulation, massive over-manning and incompetent management seems to be going unnoticed by an increasingly apathetic "southernised" electorate. Clare Martin has allowed our Territory to become a clone of the failed labor states of New South Wales and Victoria.
